With the beach nearby, saltwater carried by the wind caused the glass windows at this beautiful coastal home in Capitola, CA to become heavily stained. The damage was not beyond repair; so, the homeowner was looking for professional glass cleaning products to restore the glass, as well as a permanent protective glass coating that could keep the glass clean and resistant against future damage.

Central Coast Diamon-Fusion (CCDF), a certified Diamon-Fusion® applicator, located in Northern California was contracted to restore the glass and apply Diamon-Fusion® protective coating to seal all the surfaces. The patented coating works by chemically bonding to the glass forming an ultra-thin barrier that protects against stains from saltwater carried by the coastal winds. The coating is also UV-resistant, which helps to preserve the long-term stability of the glass.

First, CCDF successfully cleaned and restored all the glass using DFI’s professional cleaning product, Glass Rescue™, then sealed the surfaces using Diamon-Fusion®. The coating was applied to more than 500 sq. ft. of glass railings, windows, sliding doors, and skylights, keeping them clean and clear for years to come.
