Splendor Shower Door Automates Glass Coating Process with DFI’s FuseCube™
Irvine, CA, October 11, 2016 – Today, Splendor Shower Door announced, today, that they will further differentiate their shower doors by adding Diamon-Fusion® protective coating to both sides of their glass panels using DFI’s automated application system called the FuseCube™. Coating both sides of their shower doors will support Splendor’s high-quality approach, providing consumers extra protection versus the single-sided coating that most fabricators offer. The FuseCube™ machine will also allow Splendor to coat both sides of their glass faster and with higher quality than applying a single side manually, as was done previously, in less space, and with no less expenses.
And with DFI’s newest version of the FuseCube™ set to show at GlassBuild America, Splendor couldn’t have gotten in at a more opportune time. The 34-year-old shower door glass fabricator will be installing the machine at their 55,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Holland, Ohio.

Splendor Shower Door was founded in 1952, as a fabricator of room partitions. In 1968, Splendor began fabricating and installing shower doors in the Toledo, Ohio area. Jack and Marilyn Wanamaker bought the company in 1978 and expanded the business geographically to Southern Michigan and Northeast Ohio. In 1992, Splendor introduced a framed series of shower enclosures and over the next 10 years, added semi-frameless and heavy all-glass shower doors.
The current owner, Tom Wanamaker, bought the company in 2004 and expanded service to 12 states. In 2012, Splendor added glass fabrication and tempering to become a complete shower door manufacturer and glass fabrication company. Since 2012, Splendor has expanded to service 18 states through distributors and offers a full-line of glass and shower door product lines. In 2018 Splendor added 20,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and added a second tempering furnace.
