PREMIER MEDICAL PLAZA

The architect and building owner of the Premier Medical Plaza were looking for a protective glass coating be applied to the insulated glass (IG) of the plaza that would keep the glass looking clean and help reduce cleaning time and costs. Both parties also specified that they wanted the low-maintenance coating to be applied pre-installation, at the fabrication (factory) level.

ACE Glass Construction Corp., the framing fabricator and installer of the project, recommended that Diamon-Fusion® protective glass coating be applied to the insulated glass windows. The coating chemically bonds to the glass forming an ultra-thin barrier that protects against hard water stains, dirt, grime, and most environmental pollutants. The coating also comes with a 15-year warranty on commercial surfaces and is UV-resistant giving it long term stability.

Solarban 60 solar control low-e glass, supplied by Vitro, was treated by ACE Glass Construction Corp. using their protective coating machine, the FuseCube™ glass protectant coating machine. The machine fuses Diamon-Fusion® onto both sides of the IGU’s through a proprietary chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process, protecting it from hard water stains and also making it significantly easier to clean.
