DFI Completes Restoration and Coating Project for Claremont McKenna College
Irvine, CA, April 24, 2012 – Diamon-Fusion International announced, today, the completion of a coating and glass restoration project for Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. The project consisted of applying DFI’s flagship Diamon-Fusion® protective coating to over 15,000 sq. ft. of glass at various sections of the newly constructed Kravis Center, designed by well-known architect Rafael Viñoly-Menendez. The Kravis Center consists of a five-level, 162,000 sq. ft. academic and administrative facility, serving as the western gateway to the Claremont McKenna campus.
The most famous section of the project includes “the Kube” or “living room” all-glass structure, situated in the courtyard area, representing a unique and inspiring work of art and is the only structure of its kind built in Seismic Zone IV which includes all of the West Coast in the United States.

“I am very impressed with DFI and looking to incorporate more Diamon-Fusion® coating projects across the campus. I have cut my window cleaning by 50% and saved $12,000-$14,000 per year since Diamon-Fusion was applied to our windows.” – Brian Worley, Director of Facilities at Claremont McKenna College
“By treating the glass façade with Diamon-Fusion® coating, we are reducing the need for cleaning and protecting the glass from harsh elements. This is one of several high-end architectural projects DFI has worked on over the past few years and we are so pleased to see the word is spreading among fabricators and architects alike about the value-added benefits of utilizing Diamon-Fusion® coating on these exceptional properties.” – Carl Christ, VP of Technical Services and Business Development, Diamon-Fusion International
DFI surged over the last few years as the leading glass coating company to provide onsite field services – coating and restoring some of the world’s most famous unique architectural structures, helping owners and property managers save hundreds of thousands of dollars in cleaning and glass replacement costs.
