HOW DIAMON-FUSION® WORKS?
At a microscopic level, glass is quite rough. Inevitably, this allows hard water and environmental pollutants to easily penetrate the surface causing unwanted stains. Diamon-Fusion® is a patented two-step process that chemically bonds to the glass filling in the microscopic peaks and valleys of the surface. The result is an ultra-thin, transparent barrier that seals the glass.
Tested and approved by: DOWSIL™ Sealants, Sika® Sealants, Intertek, Fenzi, Smith-Emery, and Chemir. CSI Reference Section 09 01 10.92 – Protective Surface Treatments.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can Diamon-Fusion® contribute to LEED points?
Yes! Diamon-Fusion® with a Health Product Declaration (HPD) contributes one point for the LEED v4 BD+C ratings system. In addition, Diamon-Fusion® HPD’s also contribute to WELL, CHPS, and Mindful Materials.
What is the advantage of having Diamon-Fusion® applied in the factory vs. on-site?
Having Diamon-Fusion® factory-applied has many advantages over on-site application, mainly that is more cost-effective, less time consuming, and allows for uniform coverage and quality control. DFI’s network of certified applicators are also equipped with machinery that automate the coating process, which allows for a better coating and less room for error.
Can Diamon-Fusion® be applied to Low-E glass?
Yes, it can! Also, because Diamon-Fusion® keeps glass cleaner for longer and optimizes the energy output of high-performance windows, as a result, it will also enhance the performance of Low-E glass.
Where can I access Product Guide Specifications, HPD’s, and LEED documents?

Diamon-Fusion Machine-Applied (publish 634)
What type of glass can Diamon-Fusion® be applied to?
Diamon-Fusion® can be applied a wide variety of glass types including tempered glass, sandblasted glass, Low-E glass, laminated glass, back-painted glass, acid-etched glass, insulated glass, and patterned glass, as well as interior/exterior surfaces such as structural walls, entrance ways, guardrails, and much more.
Prior to applying Diamon-Fusion® on-site, does the surface need to be cleaned?
Depending on the quality of the glass and how long it has been installed, DFI recommends that the glass is cleaned to achieve a quality application. However, if the glass is newly installed and/or it is not stained or etched, Diamon-Fusion® can be applied to surface without any issues.
